Description:

At my booth, you will be treated to a variety of natural wood bowls and vases, as well as my specialty of segmenting woods. In addition to hand crafted bowls, ornaments, and vases, you will find delightful snowmen and, new this year, the hand held wood toy we call the Flippity Jibbit!

I enjoy turning all different kinds of hardwoods. I like mixing different woods together in different patterns. I also like to turn wood that I find in the forest. Burl, roots, stumps, and logs all have their own particular character. Most of the time, I have no idea what shape a piece will have until it’s being cut on the lathe. The wood seems to dictate the form and shape it takes. I love the feel of a lathe tool in my hands cutting and shaping wood spinning on a lathe. The grain patterns that appear while turning wood never cease to amaze me.
